How does Haddon use humour and first person narrative to present a unique view of the world?
this is probably my most fvrt part of the book that she just read
I saw this as a teenager in the early 80s at our local community centre, half the room were Mods and the other half were Skinheads..such an atmosphere. Watched it at least once a year since.

Done a fantastic job in looking after jo jo..love to see something like that again by Danny Boyle...
Wow! It really seems like right after this he could just step back into his Tardis and it was him visiting all along! :) Mr Capadli has always had that special Doctor' spark.
I have tried, on several occasions, to read Tristram Shandy and found it very difficult. I had an easier time with Ulysses, oddly enough, than TS. But maybe I should try again.
Do it. Was it the older English language, or the rambling that threw you off? I haven’t read it either and curious
@@Xxxxxrrr6464 if I remember correctly (it's been awhile now) the titular character doesn't even make an appearance until well into the novel. The first 40-50% of the story is before Shandy's birth, and yet (again, if I recall) Shandy is narrating. An odd premise that, for some reason, threw me.
Linda ⚘️ ❤❤❤
